Fort Worth Train Show Amon Carter

The Amon Carter Exhibit Hall in Fort Worth is the location this weekend for the Fort Worth Model Train Show. A hearty crowd young and old was there Saturday to share in the enjoyment of model trains. Several operating layouts were set up providing engaging activity.

North Texas may just rival areas in the Northeast in the popularity of toy and model trains. Twenty-five clubs are listed on the web site of the North Texas Council of Railroad Clubs, the sponsor of the show. They include the Denton Model RailroadLone Star FlyerNorth Texas Narrow GaugeSouth Side Railroad ModelersTex-N Modular, the Union Station Club and others.

The Trinity River Express provided a model of the TRE, the commuter train that runs between Fort Worth and Dallas.
